Welcome to Kooshk, a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Kemptown, Brighton. The inviting ambiance creates a perfect backdrop for enjoying meals made from the finest ingredients.
One must-try experience here is their exquisite Persian Breakfast, beautifully presented on a wooden platter. A feast for the senses, it features a stunning arrangement of fresh fruits, nuts, cheeses, and warm flatbreads, complemented by a steaming cup of their Persian brewed tea or any of their other fine tea selections, all priced reasonably.
Feedback from patrons reveals the restaurant's consistent dedication to quality. Marc Cooper noted the “delicious and unique” Persian breakfast during his visit, while others praised the fresh ingredients and the friendly service. Tom Ewing emphasized the welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both intimate brunches and larger gatherings.

What stands out most about Kooshk is not just the food, but the care that goes into each dish. Customers appreciate the attention to detail, as reflected in the beautiful presentations of their meals. Even the most discerning diners find something to love, with high praise for the sausages and the accommodating staff.
While I did hear a minor hiccup regarding promptness in service during busy hours, it’s clear that the charm of Kooshk and the quality of its offerings far outweigh any fleeting inconveniences. It’s a place that I look forward to revisiting, whether for the comforting embrace of a delicious brunch or an evening unwinding with friends over a glass of Trebbiano Pinot Grigio.

“ Staying in Kemptown for one night and popped in to Kooshk for brunch. We had the Persian breakfast for two, which was a delicious and unique dish. Friendly staff and a quick service. Would definitely go back again if in the area. ”
“ Kooshk offers so many good things. Offering quality and good value, meals cooked with care, in a friendly atmosphere. It has it’s own distinct personality, with great attention to detail, down to uniquely decorated plates and coffee cups. Wishing you every success, a great credit to all of the family. ”
“ We had a Persian Breakfast which was served on a wooden platter and it was a beautiful selection of fruits, nuts and cheese with flat bread and tea and it was fabulous. Also a lovely omelette and a sausage sandwich so there are all sorts of things to try. The atmosphere was very welcoming and calm and we had a really pleasant brunch and will definitely return. ”
“ The breakfast was lovely and was their attention to detail. It was hot and presented well. As I hate cucumber I couldn't face eating the Persian breakfast so I went for the English. Staff were friendly but perhaps a few minutes too long waiting to take the order. I've had to deduct one star on atmosphere as the staff did not act quickly enough when the fire alarm went off. It was very loud. ”
“ Lovely fresh breakfast with high quality ingredients (best sausages we’ve had anywhere!), freshly squeezed orange juices and happy to accommodate a big group who turned up feeling groggy. Good vegan offering too - will come again. ”
“ We had a very lovely delicious breakfast here, lovely coffee mugs and the service. 100% recommended ”
“ Such a wonderful place for breakfast. Service, food & atmosphere was spot on. Really good menu for meat eaters & veggies alike. Deserves more than 4.5. ”
“ The food here is incredible! Like, something to write home about good. I would love to know their supplier as everything tasted of how good ‘used’ to. So full of flavour! The owners seemed absolutely lovely and it’s a clean, comfortable and welcoming establishment. I would highly recommend the Persian breakfast. Dog friendly inside and out ”
